In New Zealand, Yorkshire fog is one of the few pasture species that will grow well in radiata pine agroforests. In these situations, it is an excellent companion species to Lotus.

Yorshire fog has shown to contain flavanoids and tannins both have been shown to improve stock health when used in mixed pasture for stock grazing.

Suggested sow rate: 6-8 kg/ha alone 2-4 kg/ha in mixtures
