SERPENTINE is a natural magnesium-rich mineral that was originally formed deep within the earth.
As a plant fertiliser serpentine is used as a slow releasing form of magnesium to gradually increase or maintain soil magnesium levels, it can be used alone or blended with other fertilisers.
Magnesium is an essential plant nutrient. It has a wide range of key roles in many plant functions. One of the magnesium’s well-known roles is in photosynthesis as it is a building block of the Chlorophyll, which makes leaves appear green.
