ABOUT GUANO:
Guano is simply bird droppings “in this case seabird droppings”.

Guano contains a rich combination of essential phosphate (P) and calcium (Ca) plus a wide range of beneficial trace elements that plants need for healthy growth.

Guano phosphate is far more natural than other forms of phosphate fertiliser, it is not susceptible to leaching nor does it cause sudden changes in pH like other forms of phosphate fertiliser.

Guano will insure a balanced and timely delivery of phosphate to plants when needed.

Application Rate:
LAWNS 10 – 50 grams per square metre. Phosphate is typically low in lawns when clippings are removed in this case the higher application rate is applicable. Apply early spring and or autumn.
GARDEN 20-50 grams per square metre. Phosphate is essential for root development in young plants and especially important for fruiting and flower plants. Apply in early spring late winter as a side dressing around established plants or as a base dressing at spring sowing and planting time.

N-0 P-0 K-0 S-0 Mg-0 Ca-32

Fine Lime is limestone that has been pulverised into fine particles, the finer the particles the greater the surface area and quicker it breaks down in the soil. Limestone is a natural source of calcium carbonate. Calcium plays a critical role in the soil and is considered to be the trucker of most other major plant elements.

Available in 3kg, 5kg, 10kg and 20kg

ABOUT FINE LIME:
Limestone and dolomite deposits were originally seabed’s where sea creatures such as snails, clams, corals, sea urchins, fish, and others, lived and died millions of years ago. Their remains slowly built up layers of sediment thousands of feet thick These sediments are the limestone, and dolomite formations that are mined today.

Fine Lime is pulverised into fine particles the finer the particles the greater the surface area and quicker it breaks down in the soil.

Limestone is a natural source of calcium carbonate, the primary reasons for adding calcium carbonate to the soil is to raise its pH and provide plants the essential calcium (Ca) element.

Raising the pH in acidic soils improves soil microbial activity structure and the availability and uptake of major plant nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Because of its influence on the soil calcium is often referred to as the trucker of all other elements.

Application Rate: Heavy clay soils – 500 grams per square metre
Lighter soils – 200 grams per square metre

Note: Avoid applying lime around acid-loving plants such as azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons and citrus use gypsum as a source of calcium instead.

A Biologically released form of Sulphur

N-0 P-0 K-0 S-90 Mg-0 Ca-0

Elemental sulphur is a biologically released form of sulphur made available to plants when plants most need it. This lessens the chance of sulphate leaching from the soil. Sulphur plays a critical role in the formation of enzymes and protein in plants.

Available in 3kg & 5kg bags

ABOUT ELEMENTAL SULPHUR:

Contains: 90% elemental sulfur with 10% bentonite (clay) as a binder in the form of pellet.

Elemental sulphur occurs naturally and most of what is used for fetiliser is the byproduct of the natural gas industry.

Elemental sulphur is not immediately available to plants because it must first be converted into the sulphate form by soil bacteria this coincides with when plants need it most and lessens the chance of sulphate leaching from the soil.

Sulphur plays a critical role in the formation of enzymes and protein in plants.

Applying Elemental sulphur to the soil is an effective way of lowering or maintaining a low pH value. Soil with a high pH value is considered alkaline which suppresses other essential nutrients making them unavailable to plants particularly in acid loving plants such as blueberries, citrus, azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons.

Application Rates:
Maintenance: 20-30gms per square metre
Lowering pH: 50g per square metre

PELLETISED SHEEP MANURE

wp-admin

This top quality weed free pelletised sheep manure makes an ideal natural slow release plant food. It improves the structure of heavy, light and sandy soils. It can act as a mulch to retain soil moisture, suppress weeds and its nutrient will encourage lots of healthy plant growth.

Available in 20kg bags

Product Overview
If you’ve ever put sheep manure on the garden from under the woolshed then you now what a fantastic plant food and soil conditioner it is, however you’ll also be aware it comes with a bunch of unwanted seed which can be a bit of a headache if you don’t like spending your weekends pulling weeds.
Pelletised sheep manure is not from under the woolshed it comes from a dag processing plant then crushed, heated then squeezed into a pellet. It is equally as good as the stuff from under the woolshed except its far less messy and much easier to handle and its 100% weed free.
If you haven’t used sheep manure in the garden at all then you don’t know what your missing. It can be added to the soil surface as a mulch or worked directly into the soil either way it will gradually breakdown helping to retain moisture during dry periods and release a rich load of nutrient into the soil profile.
Pelletised sheep manure is soil friendly, it is unlikely to burn plant roots and will encourage billions of beneficial soil microbes that eventually combine the sheep manure with other soil nutrient to produce natural vitamins and enzymes that support excellent plant growth and disease resistance.
Pelletised sheep manure can be used in most garden situations even around shallow rooted plants that are susceptible to fertiliser burn like citrus.

Use Guide
For flowers beds and vegetable garden
Scatter approx 1kg per square metre and work into the top 200mm of soil.

For planting trees and shrubs
Add approx 1kg to each planting hole and mix thoroughly with the soil.

As a side dressing/mulch around established trees and shrubs
As a side dressing use approx 1kg per square metre around plant drip line and water well. As a mulch apply enough to form a layer about 3cm thick, avoid direct contact with the plant trunk.

COMPOST

wp-admin

Seeds & Cereals Compost is a blend of rich spent mushroom substrate and fine bark mulch that has gone through a controlled decomposition process and cured for a set period of time. A stable and balanced compost suited to most garden situations.

Available in 40ltr bag

Product Overview

Organic Matter
When fresh organic matter like bits and pieces of plant or animal come into contact with the soil it causes a surge of biological activity. This activity can cause soil microbes to draw nutrient away from the plant roots robbing them of important nutrient for weeks or even months before the process is complete and nutrient is freed up again.

Compost
Seeds & Cereals compost is a blend of rich spent mushroom substrate and fine bark mulch that has been cured through a controlled biological process. The end product is a stable, well balanced, weed free compost ready to go on the garden without robbing important nutrient from the plants. Seeds & Cereals Compost is well balanced at pH of 6.5—7.0 this allows seeds, seedlings and shrubs to be planted directly into compost. However, if regularly using around acid loving plants like rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and citrus etc… the addition of a little sulphur will be necessary to keep the pH in check.

Humus
To get the best from a good quality compost it is best to spread it about two inches thick over the garden surface then work it into the first few inches of top soil where possible. Although this will have some immediate benefits the real benefits are when it starts breaking down to humus. Humus is the stuff that makes the soil look dark brown or blackish in colour, it is a result of slow but complex soil microbial activity. Apart from having a big influence on soil structure permeability and water holding capacity humus is where real plant nutrient is prepared. Applying a little sulphate of ammonia or blood meal during the growing season can accelerate the breakdown of compost.
