Feeding Recommendations

Prior to travel, feed Travel Pro® on its own. When introducing to the diet, increase daily amounts by 0.5kg increments until the desired quantity is reached.
We recommend feeding a minimum of 1kg prior to travel.

Fiber Meadow is a very digestible fibre source, bag-sealed to enhance nutritional quality and freshness. It is completely dust-free with a high moisture content. Fiber Meadow is ideal for horses with respiratory conditions, grass sensitivities, and those prone to laminitis or Cushing’s disease (due to the very low sugar and starch content).

When added to your regular hard feed, Fiber Meadow contributes to the horses’ daily fibre requirement. It slows feed consumption and encourages chewing – all attributes that benefit equine gastric and digestive health.

Fiber Boost+ Feeding Recommendation
When introducing Fiber Boost+ to the diet increase daily amounts by 0.5kg increments until the required feeding amount is reached as per our recommended feeding rates.

We recommend for those who feed twice a day, to feed 0.5kg of Fiber Fresh per 100kg of horse. We recommend feeding a minimum of 2kg per day.

Fiber Boost+ Feeding Notes
When planning a horse’s diet, the most important thing to consider is that the horse must receive an absolute minimum of 1.5% of its body weight in forage fibre – e.g. hay, pasture, and or Fiber Fresh. The rest of the diet must then be balanced according to the composition of that fibre and the physiological demands of the horse e.g. growth, lactation, exercise for extra energy, protein etc.

The 2:1 ratio promotes saliva production, chewing, digestion, and supports gut health and hydration. Controlled fermentation of kibbled barley enhances its digestibility uniquely.

Nutrient Composition

The combination of sugars and digestibke fibre provides a slower release of energy than from cereal sources, ensuring a more constant energy supply to meet the horses requirement without the ‘heating’ effect sometimes associated with grain feeding.

Useful for horses and ponies prone to tying-up or laminitis.

Betabeet is high in calcium, making it an ideal complement to oats and bran, helping to balance the diet.
It is very palatable and horses enjoy this highly digestible ‘superfibre’.

NOTE: Always ensure Dunstan Betabeet is fully soaked prior to feeding.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS:

Easy to use. The only preparation required is the soaking of Dunstan Betabeet in 5 parts water to 1 part Betabeet flakes (200 grams of dry betabeet requires 1 litre of water to soak).

Dunstan Betabeet is fully soaked in 10 minutes. Warm water ensures faster soaking.
