Description

Active Ingredient:

100 g/L Fipronil

Indication:

To treat, prevent and control infestations of fleas on Cats and Kittens over 8 weeks of age and 1kg. Fipnil Cat is safe to use on breeding, pregnant or lactating queens. Treat and controls Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) via flea control. Fipnil Cat eliminates fleas thus breaking the FAD cycle as fleas are the cause. Animals with severe FAD may require additional treatment. For the treatment and control of FAD on affected cats apply monthly. Also treat other cats and dogs in the household to maintain control. Fipnil Cat is active against fleas for at least 5 weeks on cats however repeat treatment is recommended at monthly intervals especially in times of high flea infestation or in the treatment and control of FAD. Fipnil Cat can be used to treat cats shortly after bathing and shampooing. Fipnil Cat will be waterfast within 24 hours following the application however bathing or shampooing is not recommended within 48 hours of treatment.

Contra-indications & Precautions:

For animal treatment only. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on kittens less than 2 months old and/or weighing less than 1kg. Do not use on sick or convalescent animals.

Do not use on rabbits as adverse reactions and even death could occur. Always ensure correct pipette size is administered to reduce the risk of overdose.

It is important to make sure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick it off, and to make sure that animals do not lick each other following treatment. If licking occurs a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed.

Dosage:

Read carton before use. Use one pipette per cat. Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Twist and pull the snap-off top of the pipette to enable the contents to be expelled. Part the pet’s coat until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly against the bared skin and squeeze gently to empty its contents at two points along the cat’s back, preferably at the base of the head and between the shoulder blades, emptying approximately half the volume at each site. Squeeze the pipette several times to ensure dosing is complete. Hairs at the site of application may appear oily for up to 24 hours following application
